Terms of sale
Last updated October 19, 2026.
These terms apply when you buy a paid download or tool from TaxOptima.ca. The free calculators and guides are covered by the privacy page and the disclaimers on each page.
Who you are buying from
TaxOptima.ca is operated by Triple U Solutions, a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada. Contact: [email protected].
What you get
The HELOC Interest Tracing Ledger is a spreadsheet (.xlsx) that helps you record HELOC draws, what they were used for, and the interest that relates to investing, so you can prepare for your accountant. The Tax-Loss Harvesting and Superficial Loss Tracker is a spreadsheet (.xlsx) that helps you record securities trades, work out gains and losses at average cost, and test losses against the superficial loss rule. It works in Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers and Google Sheets. You receive it as an instant online download after payment. Nothing is shipped.
The workbook runs on your own device. We do not receive the figures you type into it.
Price and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and shown before you pay.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We are not currently registered for GST/HST, so none is added. If that changes, the price shown at checkout will include any tax that applies.
- A purchase is a one-time payment for the edition shown. A later tax-year edition may be sold separately.
Your licence
You may use the workbook for your own personal tax records, and keep copies for your household and your accountant. Please do not resell, share or post it publicly. Accountants, advisors and brokers who want to use it with clients can email us for a professional licence.
Refunds
You can get your money back within 30 days. See the refund policy.
Not tax, legal or investment advice
The ledger and the tracker are record-keeping and calculation tools. They are not tax, legal or investment advice, and TaxOptima is not an accounting firm, law firm or financial adviser. Whether interest is deductible, or a capital loss is allowed, depends on your facts and the rules at the time. The CRA decides, so confirm everything with a licensed Canadian accountant before you file. Each workbook uses one common method; yours may need a different one. Results are only as accurate as the information you enter.
Limits on our responsibility
We provide the workbook as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for taxes, interest, penalties or losses that result from how you use it, and our total responsibility for any claim about a product is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer protection law or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms for future purchases; the version in force when you buy applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
