Why we are asking
The CRA only allows the interest deduction when you can trace borrowed money to an income-producing investment, and mixing personal and investment use can put part or all of the deduction at risk. Most people keep this in a spreadsheet, or in a folder of statements. Before we build anything, we want to know if you would use and pay for something better.
